Chemicals have become unavoidable in our day to day life. While some chemicals benefit us in several ways, they can also be of threat to human health and to the environment in several ways. The risk of exposure to chemicals is almost unavoidable. BiVA works to promote the sound management of chemicals in Uganda and the region as a whole.

In addition, it works to contribute to a waste-free world, and is implementing projects that aim to reduce and / or eliminate all forms of waste pollution including plastic pollution in our environment, more specifically in our fragile ecosystems that provide vital services for human survival. The sound management of chemicals throughout their lifecycle is essential to avoid complex risks to human health and ecosystems, and substantial costs to the national economy.
